Bosnia qualified for the UEFA playoffs by beating Estonia 2-0 in Tallinn on Saturday night. Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko headed the visitors ahead on 32 minutes, while Vedad Ibisevic, who also plies his trade in the Bundesliga, scored the second shortly after the hour mark.
Bosnia were beaten 1-0 by Spain when they two met in Murcia last September. Valencia striker David Villa, Spain’s top scorer in qualifying so far, scored the only goal of the game in the 58th minute. Bosnia have a strong record at home. They have scored fourteen times in four games, and have won three of them.
Spain were made to work hard for their 2-1 victory on Saturday by Armenia. La Furia Roja took the lead through Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas, who lofted the ball over Roman Berezovski after being picked out by Xavi’s pass. Defender Robert Arzumanyan scored the equaliser for Armenia in the second half, but Juan Mata restored Spain’s lead from the spot six minutes later. Alvaro Negredo made his debut for Spain as a second half substitute for Fernando Torres.

Barcelona defender Carles Puyol is suspended for the Bosnia game after picking up a yellow against Armenia. However Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Cesc Fabregas, Sergio Busquets, Sergio Ramos and Andoni Iraola are all on a defensive tightrope and coach Vicente del Bosque is likely to rest several of the above mentioned players as they will miss the first game of the 2010 World Cup if booked here.
