Juventus, who started off their campaign with a 1-0 win over Chievo, outclassed Roma last week. Brazilian playmaker Diego gave the Bianconeri the lead on 24 minutes, but Roma equalised through a stunning Daniele De Rossi effort. However Juve had more possession and given the number of number of times Julio Sergio was tested in the Roma goal, it was only a matter of time before they regained the lead.

Diego was the provider of the second goal, and fellow Brazilian Felipe Melo capped a wonderful debut when he scored the third. The result forced Roma coach Luciano Spalletti to hand in his papers after five years in charge of the Giallorossi.
Lazio beat Chievo 2-1 in their last Serie A game to pick up their second win in a row. Chievo took the lead through a 16th minute strike from captain Sergio Pellissier, but Lazio hit back just before the interval through Julio Cruz.
