Denmark v Portugal Live Stream.Surprise Group One leaders Denmark go head to head with Portugal this coming Saturday, when the teams clash in their 2010 World Cup qualifier in Copenhagen. You can watch all the action unfold by joining us here at and enjoying the live footy at its very best.
With four games remaining for each team in the group, Denmark rather surprisingly find themselves leading the way with sixteen points, three ahead of second placed Hungary, and a whole seven points in front of this weekend's opponents Portugal. In essence, the Portuguese are now drinking at the last chance saloon and anything other than a victory in Copenhagen will put paid to any hopes of automatic qualification to South Africa next summer.
Denmark are enjoying a fantastic qualifying campaign so far. They have notched up five victories and one draw from their six games, with their only dropped points coming in the very first game against Hungary in Budapest. Perhaps the turning point in the group was when the Danes visited Lisbon last September, and despite losing 1-0 at half time, managed to turn things round and leave with a 3-2 victory.
A win for Denmark in Saturday’s game will almost guarantee them at least a play-off place, but of course, their sights are set much higher than that. With one away game in Albania, and two home games against Hungary and Sweden respectively to come after this game, Denmark will feel that a victory on Saturday will almost guarantee qualification to South Africa.
For their part, Portugal are not enjoying the best of times at the moment. Seven points off the pace with only four games to go, and two wins, three draws and that defeat to Denmark in their matches so far, qualification is fast disappearing over the horizon.
