The Hotspurs managed to stay neck and neck with Chelsea at the top of the EPL standings thanks to a tightly contested win against West Ham on the weekend. The team got timely goals and excellent play from Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe. All eyes are now on the Hotspurs and manager Harry Reknapp as they are now being crowned as the possible favorites for the season, and being labeled as the team to beat in the 2009-10 EPL season.
Birmingham City is a little disappointed with the way they have started off the season so far and will need to turn things around quickly. They have been in some close games, that could have gone either way, and need to produce a little more firepower. They are in for a huge test against Tottenham and if they start slow they could be in for a severe thrashing at the hands of the spurs. Alex McLeish will be hoping for a big game from someone like James McFadden and for the defence to step up big.
