Debrecen have lost both their Champions League games so far. The first was a 1-0 loss at Anfield to Liverpool, but the second one saw them being crushed 4-0 at home by French giants Olympique Lyon.
Debrecen’s last game saw them emerge winners in a six goal thriller against Vasas in the Hungarian League. Sasa Dobric netted early for Vasas, and Adam Komlosi got sent off for Debrecen, thereby putting Vasas in the drivers’ seat. Debrecen however recovered to lead 2-1, but Dobric again scored twenty minutes from time to level the scores. Late strikes from Leandro and Adamo Coulibaly however allowed the visitors to run out 4-2 winners. Coulibaly also scored Debrecen’s first goal in that game, with Zoltan Kiss scoring the second.
Fiorentina are currently second in Group E after stunning Liverpool on Match Day 2. Montenegrin forward Stevan Jovetic was the star for Cesar Prandelli on that night in Florence as La Viola beat the five time European champions 2-0.
Jovetic also set up Juan Vargas for the opening goal in their weekend game against Juventus. However Amauri equalised for Juventus fourteen minutes later as the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Striker Alberto Gilardino is available for selection after missing the Liverpool game through suspension. He was originally supposed to miss this game, but had his two match ban reduced on appeal.
