After a tough loss to Tottenham in their first game Liverpool bounced back in a big way and dominated Stoke City in their game. Newcomer Glen Johnson has already shown that he is worth the money the team spent on him and Steven Gerrard has continued to lead the team. If Liverpool can pull off another impressive win against Aston Villa then they could cement their status as the team to beat in the Premier League this season.
Aston Villa has high hopes for the 2009-10 Premier League but those hopes were slightly dashed in a big way with their opening loss to Wigan Athletic. They will need to step up and be much better prepared if they want to compete against a top notch Liverpool team. Martin O’Neil will be hoping that his key players such as Emile Heskey and Gabriel Agbonlahor can perform well and bring a huge win for Villa.
